Bull elk size
Agree that tine length isn't great, but he's still a great bull. Anything over 300" is usually considered big IMO and I'd say he's definitely over that.- cohunter14

Let’s talk 2023
I have a lot up in the air right now. Need to wait to see how tags are potentially changing in potential units I am looking to hunt. Definitely making some changes in my plans for next year, just need to fine tune those plans once that information is available.- cohunter14

Good luck David! Keep us posted on how it goes. And don't look at your scouting as fruitless - consider it time well spent finding out where the elk aren't. It just makes it easier to find out where they are!- cohunter14

You never know. I would probably focus on cow calls, but a bugle could potentially get a bull to come in and investigate as well.- cohunter14

You could potentially try it if you need to get a bull to move in closer. It's a little more difficult this time of year, but you still might get a bull's curiosity up by using calls.- cohunter14
