I had this random doe show up and she is looking rough.
First thing I noticed was the patch of hair gone up near her front shoulder, but then I looked towards her rear quarter.... what in the world?! (zoom in)
Good chance it's some nasty road rash from a car vs. deer. What part of the country? Blue tongue is about another month out from rearing its ugly head and usually they don't look like that anyway....they do however flock to water when it hits. Regardless Id say it went for a ride on an asphalt roller coaster

This is NE Kentucky.
I've never dealt with blue tongue before and I hope I never have to! There's a highway within a half mile from this spot, so I'm thinking car verse deer too.
It's amazing how resilient animals are and I hope she makes it through.
