Pikemaster (Jarod) and I are on our way east.
We will be keeping you informed as often as we can.

Jarod is using a Remington 50 cal w/ open sights and I am using a CVA 50 cal Wolf with a 4x scope.

We are pulling my camper to stay in and should arrive early afternoon.
And we will be headed out shortly after that.
We have the typical blue jeans and T shirts for luck ;)

Stay tuned.

Hahah good luck!

I\'ve been hearing that new clothing line has been drawing out the monsters from hiding.

Good luck guys. I\'m sitting in the blind right now with the muzzle loader. Bucks only here though.

We are on WT duty. About 3/4 apart.
This is my view

Yes. I found a high spot to watch.
No shots fired tonight.
We did bump a doe this afternoon while out looking for a tree stand.
We did find it and Jarod will be there in the morning.

Now it\'s supper time!

Public or private Brad? Ground you\'ve hunted before? Have a great time! Weather should be fine.

Brad. Is that the camper/box you made for your trailer last year? I bet it is better than a cold tent and quicker to relocate if needed.

Just before shooting light 3 deer came by. Couldn\'t see any detail.

Yes we are public. Neb has a great website for hunters

Yes that is the camper box I made. Works great for 2 guys

I hope they come back.

I am hoping they were 3 does and 1 was young. Maybe she\'s a hot doe still and all the big boys will come sniffing around now.

No shots. Jarod had 3 small bucks go by him. Different 3 than I saw.

View I have from the stand that I was in. The three small bucks snuck in behind me to the left.

After the morning hunt we drove to another spot and I pushed a shelter belt for jarod.
This push has produced many shots and deer in the past.
Only one deer squeezed out. Came out half way and headed down to the big cottonwoods.

This morning on my way off stand I came across a small buck that somehow met his demise.
By the looks of it, some one may have lost the blood trail as the whole deer was there
It had a weird rack. A spike on one side and a very small 4 pt on the other.

He was probably injured before velvet or during velvet and that\'s probably why he has the funky rack. Even more, that\'s injury could have been the reason he met his demise...
