alright, I have searched and searched message boards and forums searching for a good answer to this question, but figured I would give it a shot here and see what happens. I am new hunter, 40, living in Colorado and will primarily go after Elk and mule deer. I am definitely left eye dominant, so there is that wrinkle. I am looking to use the power of this forum to help me figure out a) what would be the proper caliber rifle to pursue at this time? and b) if any of the lefties here have a rifle they recommend. Appreciate all the help I can get at the point, want to get this purchase behind me so I can get range time in.

I personally have a tikka T3 lite in .270WSM

I?ve killed an elk, antelope, and deer with it.
I was always going back and forth between the .270wsm and thr 7mm and this is what I fell on.

The tikka is a good choice. I would say in Colorado 300 win mag would be the all around caliber. I have taken Antelope, Mule Deer, and Elk with this caliber.
