I just heard about Solid Broadheads. Has anybody on here used them. They look nice but to spend $74.99 for 3 pack I'd like to read some reviews.

I looked into them last year and thought the same thing on the price. Because they can only manufacture in small batches and the steel is so expensive the cost had to be high. They hope to lower it in the near future. My good buddy Mark over at SoleAdventure.com did a review last year. http://soleadventure.com/2012/08/gear-review-solid-broadhead-company/

they look a lot like the carbon express xt.  that's a bit steep at 25 a piece.  better be careful with those. with the price of most arrows, you ruin one and thats 40 bucks.

I shoot them.  I like them a lot.  I have yet to be fortunate enough to put one through an animal.  I am hoping that changes this season.

People's main complaint is the price but these are not "One and done" broadheads.  Most of the lesser priced heads you shoot through and animal and they are toast or need new blades.  So you either have to get new blades or buy more heads.  With these, unless you severely damage them by hitting a rock on pass-through, you can resharpen them and put them back into your quiver in a timely fashion.

The price wasn't a deterrent for me as I was going to buy German Kinetic broadheads ($75 per 3 as well).  The Solids came out and I decided I would get them instead.  I had done business with Steve before and he is a stand up guy.  So I wanted to support him some more.  It doesn't hurt that they are made right here in the USA.

$900 on a bow, $200 on a sight, $125 on a rest, $100 on a stabilizer, $130 on a quiver, $130 on a dozen arrows, $80 on custom strings, $15 on a peep sight.  What's another $75 on broadheads?

My 125gr heads are beefy.  I posted pictures on this thread. http://elk101.com/forums/index.php/topic,59.0.html

The broad heads toughness and reusability is pretty impressive. Check this video out
