So, what's in your kit and do you take it every single time you go out?  I have a couple of photos of mine and will work on a detailed list of the items.  Obviously, I am into fire starting as I have at least 3 ways to start one and 3 different starting materials to guarantee a start.  I never want to die from hypothermia because it can be prevented.

Pretty much the same as RockyMountainHi plus or minus a few items.

Take out

Can opener
Commercial fire starter squares

Add

Super Glue
Space Blanket
2 high calorie bars
2' of duck tape rolled on itself

As of right now my homemade kit contains several items from a military issue first aid kit (bandages, sling, eye dressing, bandaids) and several lighters. I also carry several knives and about forty feet of rope and I always have a compass on me.

I consider this ill prepared.  I want to have a ferro rod or another method for fire and I am also looking at several of the kits from Survive Outdoors Longer (SOL)/Adventure Medical kits.  They make great premade medical/survial kits and have some really cool products like their fire lite one handed sparker

I also carry a first aid kit that is separate from Survival Kit.  This is an easy pod to grab and throw in any pack--fanny, day pack or 10 day spike camp pack in case I get into trouble.  Its portability is one of its endearing qualities.

Nice kits, I never put too much thought into a kit. I got a lighter, and actual Igniter deal in case the lighter takes a crap, electrical tape, toilet paper and a few zip ties, extra batteries, gps and a compas  in my pack at all times.

wow thanks for listing the things in your kits no I just need to add to mine, thanks again.
