I was just curious if there are ticks in the mountain areas and how thick they tend to be? What is effective to prevent/deter them? I'll be hunting in mid-September.

I'm used to whitetail country in the midwest and by mid September I don't encounter many ticks if I'm not walking through tall weeds so never need any sprays.

Please share what your experience has been (not what you've heard please).

Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem. I have never had a tick on me or on my dogs in NW Colorado in the past 40 years.

Not saying it couldn't happen, But it's not a likely problem.

Agreed. I've never had an issue with them in Colorado either.

I've never picked on up in Wyoming.  Way different than where I grew up in Missouri...
