anyone tried the new super down series? I'm in the market for some cold weather gear and the packability of down is appealing for my pack. but the we weather here in Oregon makes me think twice about down. is the kuiu worth the cash compared to say mountain hardware or Sierra designs dri down...

what sleeping bags and/or pads do you guys like or dislike? I am in the market for a new bag to use on backpacking adventures this year.  I have been checking out the Sierra designs zissou bag that has the new dry down.  looks like a great bag.

how many of you guys n gals have hunted for these monarchs? either in western Oregon or Washington? do you notice different tactics for these then the Rockies? I have hunted for both, and to me there are quite a few differences.
