Temps were warm during the day, but it got chilly at night and first thing in the morning. I used a 25 degree bag and was fine. Yes, a lot of people used their hunting packs. It's not necessary to have something that big as you're only really carrying water, snacks, and a bugle tube with calls...- cohunter14

Yep! We put 7.4 miles on the boots the second day and 3.6 miles the third day before lunch and heading out. It's not super steep terrain, but it definitely adds up! There were a couple of people who skipped the end of the second day, so do your best to be in good enough shape that you don't have...- cohunter14

2026 Colorado Big Game Brochure is Out...
Wow is that a monster buck!! Keep in mind that moose is a total lottery, and preference points just help you in the lottery. There are no guarantees, regardless of how many points you have. I certainly wouldn't plan on having a moose tag in your pocket, even if you've got 30+ points.- cohunter14
