Sad deal for sure...
I saw where they were struck by lightning. Hopefully they didn’t feel a thing. I’ve been in the woods a few times when lightning storms have come up quick and caught me off guard. I’ve always put everything I have that’s metal in a pile and then I try to get low somewhere else. I don’t know what else you should do.

Yes, what a shockingly sad circumstance. I think the only lesson to be learned is if you are with someone and lightning is close, try to spread out a little bit, but when the man upstairs says it's your time, there isn't much you can do about it.
