Got my reservations for the second class!
Kicking around driving out and staying a few days after. Plan on camping in my hunting area to see how much things have changed. Boots on the ground.

Awesome!! You'll enjoy it. Don't skimp on your workouts before going...I think I put over 7 miles on the boots in one day last year!

My buddy and I will be attending the 2nd class as well. Flying in from OH to Boise, and driving up.

@cohunter14 are you meaning during the class you put in 7 miles during the class? Guess I need to get working on my cardio again!

When are you flying in? I plan on being in Boise the night before. Plenty of room in the truck if y’all need a ride.

Yep! We put 7.4 miles on the boots the second day and 3.6 miles the third day before lunch and heading out. It's not super steep terrain, but it definitely adds up! There were a couple of people who skipped the end of the second day, so do your best to be in good enough shape that you don't have to miss out on anything.

Fantastic info thanks! What were temps like? 0° bag or 20° bag? We reserved one of the tipis. I’m usually not cold at night, but have options for sleeping bags.

And did people typically carry their hunting packs? Like I have a Exo 4800 I use, and it packs down pretty small. Is that overkill? Would just take it as my carry on pack. Don’t want to be “that guy” if nobody else is carrying a pack

Thanks for the information. Very helpful.

Man that’s a fantastic offer. We will cover fuel if you drive? Thank you. We will take you up on that.

We are flying into Boise on the 21st, but arriving a bit late, plane lands 8:20pm. Staying at the Fairfield Inn at 3300 S Shoshone St. We can Uber to you in the morning.

Temps were warm during the day, but it got chilly at night and first thing in the morning. I used a 25 degree bag and was fine.

Yes, a lot of people used their hunting packs. It's not necessary to have something that big as you're only really carrying water, snacks, and a bugle tube with calls, but if I were you, that's what I would do. I did exactly what you said and used it as my carry on.

Holler with any other questions. Happy to help!
