I got the age back on my 2023 whitetail
It was actually great. I think he was old enough that he just napped all day and got real tender. It wasn't gamey and he didn't really smell like a rutted up whitetail even though his neck was huge and he was following a doe when I shot him.- ribo451

Is there such a thing as TOO GOOD of elk habitat?
Yes to everything cohunter14 said. If there is sign there then they are using it but it could be a place they use in the summer or later in the fall. I cover ground until I find fresh tracks.
