The number of 2 and 4 legged predators is definitely on the rise out here. As long as you’ve got your head on straight you won’t have a problem.
I always carry a InReach for me and the wife’s peace of mind. Never thought much about a sidearm until this past season, cat sign and sightings were up...
Saw that the other day and tip my hat to Casey. He’s definitely an elk killer that’s taking a beating on most forums. It’s a shame when envy makes people trash someone else’s accomplishments.
I hope and pray that the story comes out soon and shuts all the naysayers up.
Be happy for the guy.
Haven’t done much in the last couple weeks, and it shows! Going home on the 10th for a couple days, gonna bring my pack back and start doing some rucking during the day. Don’t have hills but a few piles and broken terrain which is better than nothing.
Pretty much have decided against a SxS. Have 2 quads in the barn that have worked fine for the past 20 years. If I’m going to have to haul a trailer, I’m thinking I’m going to get an atv trailer I can pull behind when needed. The quad and a Yutrax trailer will easily fit on my 14’ trailer and it...
Stopped at a shop today and looked at a few models. Was not impressed with the bed size of the Rzr. Not sure if it’ll be big enough for what I’m wanting it for.
For years I shot a multi pin and gap shot, ran SpotHogg 5 or 7 pins.
Couple years ago, I switched to a Fast Eddie 3 pin and love it. I have a 20, 30 and 40, but can adjust way past what I need to do shooting. For me and my style of hunting, it’s the best of both worlds.
Also went from.19 to .10...
No place to shoot my bow down here, but plenty of hiking places. It’s a choice of sitting in the truck or hiking around the site.
Actually, the time spent in my truck, I’m on my computer researching elk units and draw odds.
A SxS is covered under my homeowners policy. No registration in Illinois. I believe it’s $25 in Colorado and Wyoming.
Top heavy and tipsy are the biggest issues with a 50” SxS. Not into hot rodding anymore more.
Pretty much decided to pick one up, now it’s just a matter of which one. Leaning...
My issue with a small suv is license, insurance and trailering to different states.
I agree that the suv is more comfortable, but I’m hunting, not heading to the grocery store. Plus my wife can putter around the place with the SxS.
First off, it’s not for sitting in and shooting an elk.
Looking at one for running back roads to TH, hauling camp back in and not beating the crap out of my truck.
Thinking about a RZR 570 or 800 because they fit the 50” rule. Anyone use one of these or something different I should look at...
