    Staying warm in a sleeping bag

    3rd season Elk in NW Colorado we had tent with a stove but that wouldn't last all night, slept on cots but no pads so for me I would get cold from below any ideas to help stop this, we were only allowed 50 lbs of gear, couldn't bring everything

    Smoke smell

    After 6 days in a wood stove heated tent how do I get all the smoke smell out of everything? Sleeping bag, backpack, shoes etc. First Elk hunt went with a guided hunt had a good time just didn't see many elk but had a great time

    Son and I are going 3rd season Colorado this yr, Craig-Meeker area first time and probably only time going don't want to break the bank but would like some info on clothes. Getting Merino wool undies, but wondering about coats and that, in Iowa for Dec-Jan deer season I wear my brown duck...

    Son and I are going for the first time in Nov in Co, horse packing in what do we need for water proof bags to keep our clothes and things dry in case of bad weather on the way in? TIA
