So, every area has a National Forestry building where you can go and get maps and ask questions. So, it depends on where you are hunting. We hunted around Troy Mt. We went to the one there and they explained how they track the bears. They put barbed wire on trees with bear scent. The bears come...
We have an Outfitter that supplies the tents, water, firewood and wood stoves. We are on our own. It is public land. They take us in about 8-10 miles. I was wondering if the success ratio was better on private land.
Montana does a good job of tracking Griz. They have most of the bear's DNA on file and track them. If you are hunting near the border, give them a call. We were hunting on the border and they told us about two that were nearby.
Hi,
I'm going to Colorado elk hunting in October. I was wondering if anyone has hunted zones 441, 214 or 4? Can you tell me what the terrain is like?
Thanks,
