my coworker found a broken Buck 112 on a jobsite. it was pretty nasty. about 1\" of the tip of the blade was snapped off and missing. he was just about to toss it during his annual office cleanout. i gave him a quick \"whoa! i\'ll take that\".

i sent it back to Buck. i got it back a month ago and it is damn near perfect. i stropped it on some leather with polish compound and it is a scalpel. funny thing..Buck sent an invoice for me to pay $10 for the repairs. the invoice was dumb. no \"pay to the order of...\" and no mailing address. so i called them..the lady laughed at me and said, thanks for paying. apparently most people never pay. hahah..good faith. they fix the knife and send it back and THEEEN ask for payment.

the knife is much smaller than the ubiquitous BUCK 110. it might be the perfect beater hunting knife. and i own a couple of $300+ knives. i just have a fondness for inexpensive quality i think. :)

Buck Knives is a solid company.
