I have been back from elk camp for 3 weeks and it is time to plan for next year. Most of the scrapes and bruises have healed and after 4 weeks about half of the feeling has come back to my big toes. I am starting my workout for next year earlier than normal, which is usually January. I plan on being in the best shape I have ever been in when I hit the mountains in only 11 months. I think next year will be full bivy. No spike or base camp. I hope to get in a scouting trip if time permits. It is a lot harder to scout when you live 1000 miles away... Who else has started to get into better elk hunting shape for next year? :train:
