2nd day CO speed goat

Looks like we all got into some good goats this weekend. I had a friend from N Carolina draw a buck tag along with my wife. We had access to private land but used as only an access point and hunted BLM. Chris took a nice buck on Saturday mid-morning then not much later my wife missed a buck so we helped get his cleaned/loaded.

Sandy had to go to a wedding at 4 so her hunt was over for the day. She got back to hotel around 9 pm and back up at 5.

Ended up working 2 groups in the area and had this buck with a few does come up over a ridge about 150 yds out. She made a great heart shot and he didn\'t go very far at all.

Oh, the smile wasn\'t there all day! Sandy\'s a trooper - will hike around all day long hunting or blocking and always keeps a positive attitude BUT she\'s extremely impatient. Not a good trait for antelope hunting.

Well, first thing Sunday morning, the 3 of us are walking in as sun is coming up. Plenty of light to see without a flashlight but sun not all way up yet. She\'s in a hurry and has to lead sometimes so as we\'re walking through pasture along creek, she catches a branch with her foot and face plants!! THUD. You okay? You okay? Don\'t touch me! Let me stay here just a minute! Hell, I thought her nose might be broke. She did NOTHING to break her fall. Binos strapped on so landed square on them on upper chest, knee hit some cactus/stickers but rifle stayed off to side intact.

She was not a happy camper! Then I\'m not a happy camper and say I\'m headed back to the truck if you don\'t *$#$* @(*$#$@ *#&$#$@ *)@#$# your @($#*#($ attitude and #@@#$#($!! Oh, I don\'t @#(%$* care this is how it\'s going to be. Yeah, she hit the wrong button but things were much better after clearing the air!!

Thus, the smile on the picture(at least I\'m taking some credit for it)!
