For you guys that shoot multi pins, where would you hold your pins when the target is 47yds?
Do you hold the 50 pin low?
Or the 40 pin high?
Which pin is dominant?

I cut the section between 40 and 50 in half and use it accordingly.
If it\'s 41-45 I am using the 40 pin and if it\'s 46-49 I am using the 50.

For 25 and 35 yard shots, I am just using the space between the pins, but out past that I start to not trust my eye sight, so I prefer having one of my pins.

I went to a 3 pin slider this season so I\'d side it to 47 yards. If that wasn\'t going to be an option I\'d aim at the top of the lungs with my 40, putting the heart/lung intersection about 7 inches below my pin. When I shot multi/fixed I\'d do as Dan says. Aim with 50. Difference was about 1\" from 47-50 with my old settup

I won\'t take a shot that far...at least not this year as I\'m not comfortable past 40 yards. Even though shooting 40 yards good, I\'m not driving tacks at that distance so I think \'winging it\' for 47 yards is out for now. I\'ll get my antelope and elk setups within that range for blinds/stands so when I let it fly I\'m not hoping for anything but rather knowing I just made a good shot.

Hypothetically, I\'d hold my 40 pin high as I only use a 20, 30 and 40 yard pins.

47? Get a gun! The name of the game is getting close. I like 20 and under but my personal limit is 30 yds, with 40 if a second shot is needed.

Ok, lets switch this up to a shorter distance of 27yds

Still the same?

no. 27, most modern bows can still use the 20 pin and hit darn near bullseye..certainly accurate enough to put a vent hole in a lung. my 20 and 30 pins are awfully close together.

i have a 3 pin slider as well. love it!! well, i love it now that i worked the routine better. i pull the bow up and give the sight tape a quick glance. i\'m embarrassed to count how many times i sent an arrow into the ground or over a target because i forgot to slide the sight..DUH!

now i am good and it is part of the shot routine. muscle memory stuff.

i have 20 30 and 40 pin..i would probably leave the sight in the \"home position\" for a 47 yard shot.
