our troops started loading onto crafts for dday, then got delayed on ships tossing around in bad weather making alot of them sea sick. i cant imagine. God bless all our troops, then an now
watching red tails as I speak...... I cant imagine, either way. thanks for the reminder. I have been a guardian for 4 honor flights, those guys have made me cry several times...... I cant get enough of their stories. omg!
I\'ve been fortunate to meet quite a few WWII vets in my profession over the years. Stories they have told have made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

i have talked to many ww11 vets. many wives have said that they have never heard the stories that he had just told me...... i was honored that they were able to tell me those stories. if i was organized enough, i would have an awesome book published!!!!
me to, being a nurse has allowed me to meet several veterans of ww2. their stories are amazing. also got to meet an know a polish man that was 17 in 1939, was taken to a slave labor camp an never saw his family again. he didnt have a bitter bone in his body, i dont know how. talked alot about the good german gaurds that smuggled him potatoes that kept him alive. an a german woman who said when she was 12 1200 americans bombers hit her town during the day, then another 800 british bombers that nite. she got real quite, said alot of good people died that day, then quit talking.
