My son likes heights :)

I think he is taking his Wind Energy Technology degree a bit seriously

He will definitely be ready for tree stand hunting this fall. :upthumb:

I hate to be dumb but how do you get up to the platform???? I don\'t see a ladder on either of the 4 sides....

He said it was an old windmill.

He is almost 19, he dont need a ladder :)

I understand not needing a ladder... :D :D

My 12, 13 and 14 year old grandboys had rather climb up the legs and braces on their stands than use a perfectly good ladder...

Even if a deer was straight under the stand, he\'d be out of my effective range.

The deer wouldn\'t be out of my effective range, Rudy since I would be on the ground with them...

Not uncommon in Oklahoma to use a windmill for a stand/blind but usually for rifle. If it\'s a working wind mill, the sound will muffle any noise you\'d make. Or attach pipe to the pump so the water tank is 20-30 feet away from the wind mill instead of right below.

Note: they will sway a little in a strong OK breeze!

I was hunting WY antelope with my recurve and the rancher wanted to put me in his windmill stand that was \"no lie\" 35\' off the ground. I said no thanks.
