After 4 years of chasing Elk with a bow my brother and I were able to put all the puzzle pieces together and connect on 2 Bulls with in 11 days of each other, we called in many others and missed a few can't wait for 2018 to start I have 22 years of PP to burn.. Here we come Unit 002 or 201, but last seasons story went like this, Long story shorter, Opening week was full of close calls and should haves I dropped my brother and buddy off so they could go back to work and went to fill my Deer tag so I would not have to pack an Elk out alone, well Opportunities arose and my 1st SOLO Archery Bull Elk was down.. After help from a friend he was packaged and in the Freezer ready for his winter slumber, A couple of days with the family and back to the woods with brother and friend, on the 3rd day and  with a well placed 12 yard shot my brothers 1st Archery Bull Elk was down... Another visit to our Good Friend and my brothers bull was ready for his winter slumber, Our buddy from out of state had a cow tag and he had a miss and a couple of close calls but was never able to connect, This was by far the most Successful year of Archery we have experienced, I would like to Thank Elk 101 University and Cory Jacobson for Helping cut the learning curve, We implemented MANY of the tactics and info from this course, and of course Thanks to my Family and Friends for all of the Good times Past and Future...

Congrats to you guys, well done!
Beautiful bull and thanks you sharing your story!  :upthumb:

What a great season. Those 4 years of chasing probably made the experience that much sweeter.  Congrats on two nice bulls!

Awesome bulls and story! Hoping my freezer can look like that one of these seasons

Congrats on the elk!!  I'm interested on what you learned from the solo hunt.  I will be in Colorado this September and there a possibility that I will be solo.  Thanks

I hunted unit 2 in 2016 and willing to share what I know about the area.  Didn't take home a bull but had opportunities.
