Airfare - Suprised

I am amazed at the Airfare costs right now.

My son spends the summers in the Fort Collins,Loveland area as he plays baseball and sees his girlfriend. I am flying out there next week to drive back with him here to Illinois and my flight was 60 dollars one way. He calls last night and said he wants to head out there for a weekend in December to attend a weekend wedding. I checked for flights and was shocked at the cost.

68 dollars (Round-trip) Including taxes.

That\'s cheaper than filling my pickup truck!!!

I may just fly out there for the hell of it

Nope not catching a ride with Trump.

My son has been going back and forth for about three years there and we have been getting flights from 100 to 150 round trip. The last year they have been getting cheaper and cheaper but I have never seen them this low 34 bucks each way. 68 dollars to fly 1000 miles just seems crazy to me

My wife and I are each flying for 39 bucks each way from Chicago to Las Vegas in October on Spirit. Same fare from Chicago to Baltimore and from Baltimore to Vegas or Phoenix. My SIL flies for Spirit and has never seen prices so low.
Gas here in WI went up 75 cents a gallon earlier this week, go figure@!@@!

no kidding...... gas jumped up fast here too. just before our trip to the big horns.....
