Almost got it done

I got to full draw on a nice 6pt this weekend. I cow called him in and he walked behind a bunch of small pines. I drew back and he took a few more steps but I still didn't have quit a good shot. He was looking for a cow and had pinpointed my location. He didn't see me but he knew something was up when there wasn't a cow where there should be. He turned around and walked away calmly. I only needed about 5 more steps. The experience alone is worth everything I've put into it though. Pumped and ready for the next cple weeks.

I chalk my close call up to lack of experience. Once we saw the bull we should have backed out and formed a better game plan. I am going again this weekend to see if I can do something about my un-notched tag.


I wish I could have had the opportunity to get to full draw.

That's exactly what we did. I didn't chase after him. We gathered and set up in a different spot and called on a little rag horn. Not quit a shooter.
