Any draw traditions or good luck charms?

Does anyone have any draw traditions, good luck charms or routines that they do:
- as they are putting in their apps?
- night before draw results are released?
- day of?


Normally for me, on the night I am putting in my applications, I cook myself a big game dinner.(past two years it\'s been elk steak, sweet potato with bacon bits, and asparagus)

I don\'t have any night before routines, but I do have a day of routine.
I sign into the computer and after the server comes back up because the NM site usually shuts down, I put a piece of paper over the left side of my screen and pull up my draw screen. When it comes up I am able to see all the red and green.
Green means good, red means.... :downthumb:

Then when I see green I don\'t pay too much attention to which number I draw, I just focus on if it was my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd draw. Then I look it up to see where I am going. :upthumb:

Im thinking this year I\'ll be doing my day of routine with a big fat egg omelet, elk steak, and thick cut bacon. :dance2:

Draw traditions? Funny stuff there . Maybe I should start some cuz my draw tradition is missing the tags I want . And so I remain otcWill

My tradition is putting in my applications...and then putting in applications for half of our hunting group because they can\'t figure out how to do it on their own! :lol:

i should stop laughing and start crying..preaching to the choir.

i guess along the same vein, my good luck charm is to remind everyone when the deadlines are..and then take over as Cohunter.

Hmmm,

Guess this could be a tradtion?

I look at my bank account before I apply........

I look at my bank account after I apply..........

I look at my bank account after the results are out..............

I then plan on what damage my bank account will have after its all done and if I am or am not going west

It is somewhat funny to think about some of the traditions or superstitions we all have in play whether hunting or in life. For me, it is not about the draw, because I pretty much hunt the same places every year (all OTC land with good success). But I do need to throw this in--I do wear my Bronco socks every time I think they will win. 11-5 when I wore my socks (missed one game). And then the Super Bowl? OH YEAH. Sorry Dan, did not mean to derail this thread. Just talking about fun traditions.
