I still have some mulch to lay and an oil change to do, but if I can get that done today I\'ll most likely be turkey hunting tomorrow. :upthumb:

How about you guys?

Garden work for the next couple of days and then turkey hunting next week with my brother. He\'s making the trip back home from Utah to chase some birds.

working out, cleaning apartment and packing, nothin fun though. next weekend im either gonna be trout fishing, turkey hunting, or site seeing some civil war parks.

Fishing tonight! Rain the next two days so some inside work is on the schedule. I will be painting at my fathers on Saturday and spring cleaning in my garage Sunday. I might to slip in a turkey hunt Saturday morning before the rain comes. :D

Fun??? Maybe... :D :D

Since it\'s supposed to be raining I\'ll be riding the stationary bike, watching duck and elk hunting videos and some more on the NFL draft if it still going on...

Not sure what fun is to be had this weekend yet.
Prob not a whole lot due to the snow/rain forecast

The \'fun\' here in CO will be next week when I have to mow the yard/jungle after all this rain/snow on top of the fertilizer I put down 2 weeks ago.

I ordered a new DMT sharpening stone from Sportsman\'s Warehouse and it\'s in so I may put an edge on my hunting knives this weekend.

Going to also look at refabricating my camp \'wok\' as it currently sits too close to the flame and hard to control temps. I\'ll post this to the Gear forum after I take some pics and see what ideas our local BTO engineers can come up with!

I am starting to put together my backpacking list for this fall, anticipating a drawn tag instead of OTC this year. That said, I\'m making some sleeping bag liners to experiment with. I have a bunch of different flannel sheets I\'ve acquired so I can experiment. I\'ll begin sewing those up this weekend since the weather sucks again.

Went down to my sisters and turkey hunted this morning. That was a bust. Only saw one hen. Someone forgot to tell the toms to stick around so I could hunt them.

Doing yard work and change the storm windows tomorrow. Then Sunday we are heading down to Duluth for our youngest grandson\'s first birthday.

having the official bday party for Colby and I tomorrow, along with our house warming. sun came out today and the bees were busy! planted the 2 apple and 2 pear trees that came in today, along with another 30 white spruce seedlings. I am up to over 80 trees planted this spring....
21 lbs of brisket is in the smoker
20 lbs of pork butt is in the roaster
15 lbs of turkey is brining, getting ready for the fryer
12 lbs of smoked turkey is dethawing....

Sounds like an official in the making, Gary... :upthumb: :upthumb:

My super accurate weather rock indicates snow, therefore, errands, indoor chores and projects. Purged more stuff with a trip to Goodwill. Still to come...Laundromat trip for cleaning sleeping bags and down quilt. Work has been crazy, therefore, my weekends are now for errands and chores :(

I wonder if summer will come to CO this year? Coolest Spring in a long time. Haven\'t seen 70 degrees much this year. Last Sunday, a road near my house was closed due to a brush fire. Now it\'s snowing. We go from super windy & dry to snowy & cold. Love CO. Sadly, I prefer the snowy cold weather over the wind. Can\'t keep my arm steady to shoot in the wind.

Oh, you asked if we are doing anything fun...well, I got off my a$$ yesterday evening and shot new bows again. End result...ordered my new bow. Now, deciding on options for my new bow sight. Tomorrow, order new bow sight.

Awesome Patricia! What did you end up purchasing?
Mathews Chill SDX.

Chill SDX (ATA 30.5\") balances better than my Jewel (ATA 28\"). Plus, the Chill SDX doesn\'t have the top heavy feel which annoyed me with the Jewel. Apparently, the placement of the grip on the riser makes a big difference. Perhaps, longer shots will be easier with the longer ATA.

Chill SDX doesn\'t have the hump & dump into the valley like the Jewel. I can draw my Jewel straight back smoothly, however, it has a noticeable harsh transition into the valley due to the cam.

When I bought my Jewel, I was a more clueless about bows. Plus, my short 24 DL made it hard to find bows to try.

And there isn\'t an ugly Jewel embedded in the riser on the Chill SDX. Dumbest thing putting that fake jewel in the riser of the Jewel. Mathews figured out some short Draw men were buying the Jewel.

You not only went with the best shooting side, but you also went with the best bow company known to this world :upthumb:

I better run before the Hoyt and bow tech guys show up. ;)
