i did it once.

went to ..err..i left the blind for a spell. lucky i took my bow. came back to the blind and there were birds surrounding the thing..mad dogging my decoy. i snuck in, using the blind as a big barrier..got close, sat still and waited till the birds came out from behind my blind. wack!

that was the only time. ever since then, it feels impossible!

you?

I have been walking to a deer stand and spotted birds in the fall. I managed twice to sneak up and arrow one.

I missed a couple, using the SLIP System as a shield and walking into the flock. Here\'s a vid where I walk toward a vocal gobbler, cutting and yelping, and set up the deer decoy with a camera. He just caught my draw over the top of the blind and busted me  Missed him walking away at about 30 yds. :x

Note to self: always set up next to a tree. If I would have drawn quickly when he was behind the tree in the foreground while I was watching him in the viewfinder, it would have been a slam dunk when he strutted by.

I\'ve gotten lucky a couple times and killed em that way. I like to sneak in front of em along thick hedgerows

never with a bow, but i have snuck in on my fair share with a shotgun. had a buddy that has killed more than you can count by sneaking up on em. just takes some patience and crawling. getting drawn back with a bow would be the hard part

one year in texas while i was hog hunting, i saw some turkey. i dropped down out of habit..and they came towards me. i shimmied under a bush and laid still. after a few moments they came up close. way close! i was full camo covered and under a small bush. they were inches from me. i had no tag. my bow was with me, and getting it up and out would have been impossible. it i did have a tag, i would have considered grabbing one..hahah..probably would have gotten my butt kicked.
