From the reviews here and elsewhere it looks like a great backpacking tent and it\'s on sale this weekend at Cabela\'s for $159.

Coincidentally, there is a Cabela\'s on my way home!

Don\'t know about the Marmot but, there is a Big Agnes Fly Creek II ul for $150 in the Elk 101 Classifieds. They run about $390 new.

If the one Bill is talking about has sold Backcountry.com has the Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 for $174 with free shipping. Looking at around 3lbs for the tent. I bought one today and it will be my tent for NM this year.

I have not used the Tungsten but I have a Marmot Limelight two person and it\'s solid. Been using it for years and it\'s been bombproof so far. Hope yours turns out the same.

I also have a Marmot, and it worked GREAT in the back-country. I have to see what Model it is...

I went to Cabela\'s on Saturday, picked out the tent, walked the store, put the tent back on the shelf and left. Just didn\'t feel right.

Sunday night I browsed Craigslist and found an older Kelty Ridge 2 for $60. It has been used 5 nights. I\'m picking it up on my lunch break today. With the $100 I saved I\'m upgrading my sleeping bag. :dance2:

I LOVE this tent! The Ridge 2 weighs in at 4lb 6oz but I\'ve already got a couple ideas on shedding a half pound. That\'ll allow for a larger flask of whiskey! I love the dual doors & vestibules!

I had some fun setting it up in my family room last night. It took me a few minutes to figure out the orientation of the fly. The two ends are slightly different, (one wider than the other) so I need a clear way of marking the head in case I have to get shelter up in a hurry. The vestibules are huge! My son LOVED the idea of having storage outside the tent but still sheltered!

For those that use a backpacking tent and have a footprint, do you have the footprint fit just the floor of the tent or do you allow some for under the vestibule areas?

Tyvek footprint:

Nice instructions. Good find.

I added the grommets to my ground cloth last night and really like how it turned out. I couldn\'t find shock cord in the fabric department at Walmart but I was being rushed to bring home some dinner. I\'ll probably hit up a craft store to see what they have.
