Are you currently \"dieting\"?

Me? No! But I\'ve changed the ways I eat. I eat less too. Revamped my portion sizes. Zero fast food for the most part. Maybe once a month. This hunt season is going to be fantastic. I\'m a lot lighter now. I rebooted my lifestyle. No turning back now. A single fast food burger makes my stomach kinda sour now. Weird.

You?

I need to get started. Winter is almost over and I still have all of my fat reserves I had before the hibernation began. It is all my wife\'s fault. She is too good of a cook.

Smaller portions in general...however, I had a corned beef in the crock pot last night when I got home...I kept saying \"make me stop\" while I was devouring it!

I never diet. I increase my walking/hiking to control my weight. This was the first winter that I maintained my post elk hunting weight. However, I never do big meals unless I am traveling or visiting family. Most of my \"meals\" are more snack size. I don\'t eat much junk and I don\'t eat super healthy either.

Last year at this time, I weighed 12 lbs more. In general, I can tell when my weight goes up 5 lbs. Presently, I weigh the same as in 2005. I just renewed my 10 yr old driver\'s license. SO happy, I did not have to renew it last yr.

I have purposely have not weighed myself since Girl Scout cookies arrived in my house and I started working longer days. :shh:

ive put on 8 lbs over the last year and cant lose it. i dont eat much, not alot of carbs, and working out harder than ever. not sure why but its stuck there

Only a woman would say that. The statement reminds me of the lady that was photographed five time for an ID. Each one she rejected. After the fifth rejection the photographer said, \"I don\'t understand. The photos look just like you.\" :D

Yes...high protein smoothie in the morning, salad with hard boiled egg for lunch, small portion supper with fish or chicken, lots of water.

1200 to 1500 calories a day...down 12 lbs. in three weeks.

Workout every other day.

I am always dieting.

I follow my macros to the T and it helps me achieve whatever goals I am shooting for.

I work my numbers (calories, carbs, protein, and fat)
and stick to them. I also am doing what is called intermittent fasting.
I eat all of my macros within an 8 hour window and then \"fast\" for 16 hours.

I also drink LOTS of water

i lost 30 pounds in about 6 months only eating 1500 calories a day. i vowed to never be that fat again, so i watch portion sizes a lot better. so far so good!

I don\'t ever diet because it\'s hard to eat right when I can\'t even stand the smell of vegies. I cut my portions and cut out the snacks. I can drop weight by working out.

Thanks for responses! I don\'t diet. I can\'t. So I started slooooowly changing my life. Here is my every-work-day breakfast. Been eating a variation of this for three years. Oatmeal. Anyone tells you eating oatmeal lowers cholesterol, tell them No. It\'s the reduction of meat that does that.

This Stanley food cup is my best purchases EVER! I put in quick cook steel cut oats, some dry fruit and cinnamon. If I\'m really pushing exercise, some powdered peanut butter. Pour in some boiling water and drive to work. When I get there, the oats are soft and creamy. Best purchase!

Nicely done guys!

I am on the \'I never diet\' wagon. I have tried it and unless you are going to \'diet\' forever, they don\'t make sense to me. Lose weight and then put it right back on.

I try to control my portion sizes, but my weight mainly revolves around my activity levels. If I am sitting around during the winter, the weight can go up. Because of that, I try to pay attention but the nice thing is my weight has been about the same for three years now. Could I lose a few pounds? Sure. I just haven\'t put forth the effort and truthfully, it\'s because I just don\'t have the amount of time I want to dedicate to it. Instead, I choose to spend my free time helping my wife out with the kids. Someday things will go back to normal and I\'ll be able to return to the gym, but it might be a few years...

Congrats to all of you who have the willpower to diet and count calories. I only count protein grams because I have a bad habit of being on the low side.

Keep up the great work. Those mountains will be easier come September.

That lady is crazy. After a 45 minute wait, I didn\'t care what I looked like. I didn\'t look bad last year. I just had less facial definition to highlight my good looks ;)

I don\'t get \"carded\" anymore unless I buy Nyquil. Seriously, I only get \"carded\" if I buy Nyquil. Perhaps I am too much a regular at the liquor store to be \"carded\"

Mutt: The lady was getting a concealed carry permit. She wanted her picture to be perfect, when she showed the police her credentials. This would definitely apply when being checked, after shooting some scoundrel. :D
You are right about the DMV. They are too difficult to spend any more than the minimum time with. Of coarse a person should think about what the cop sees after pulling them over.

I have been on a diet for about 5 weeks know. Work is doing a biggest loser competition. I really changed how I eat no fast food no pop and lots of water and portion control. started out at 212 and at weigh in this morning was down to 199. Thank god I got an elk last year, that lean elk steak has been flying out the freezer. Couple things that have helped me out along the way is an app called my fitness pro along with a fit bit tracker. Both these together have helped me keep track of my calories and my activity through out the day.
