How far from the poi have you found an arrow after a pass through on an elk? I looked for a good 30 minutes but never found the arrow. I wasn\'t sure how far to look. I didn\'t know if it went 3 feet or 100. The grass/weeds were tall and it was a needle in a haystack type thing.

The pass thrus we have found arent that far beyond the elk - maybe 10yds or so
Sometimes they are laying right on top of the ground, sometimes stuck in the ground/tree

But if you hit a rib during the pass thru, that arrow will deflect quite a bit and it could be off to the side quite a ways

Like Brad said, mine was about 10 yards beyond POI last year.
I don\'t have much more data beyond that because I\'ve only had one pass through.

Once I beefed up my arrow weight, it slipped through like butter.
It also helps I didn\'t hit two ribs or a spine... :wtf:

Most of the time they are fairly close. Have had a couple I didn\'t find on a steep down hill shot with a steep draw below.

My last one went 50-60 yards but it was as FM said, elk was along major drop off and I was shooting up just a little. I gave up after 45 minutes looking for arrow but found it later tracking the elk.
