Arrow spine?

This is a question for all you technical archers, I shoot an aggressive dual cam bow at 65lbs with 28.5\" draw, my arrows are 419gr overall(including 100gr tip) 350 spine with 27.5\" shaft(excluding tip) at 290fps. I am wanting to go to a little lighter setup 405 give or take and wondering if I would be better off going to a little stiffer spine like a 330 or even 300 but stiffness is somewhat confusing at best, any advice would be appreciated. :?

Why?
Are your arrows not performing?
15gr down isn\'t a big change.
419gr is light to some people and about right for my setup

If you want stiffer spine you should go heavier up front.

The arrows I have are good, great groups at good distance but hard to get ahold of and the ones I\'m looking into just seem to be in that weight range. I really don\'t want to go to a 125 tip because I never had good luck with flight patterns in the past and don\'t want to have to spend a lot of time tuning them to get em to shoot consistent. My setup seems to be in that grey area between 300 and 350, I\'m just not sure if 350 is a little under spine or not.

I also stepped up my draw weight because my bow pulls smooth for what it puts out which is why I question the stiffness.

Try this.
Cut a length of weed trimmer line, remove your nock and slide it down your arrow shaft
You will gain about 40gr and won\'t affect the spine.
You can use those arrows and same broad heads
It may do just what you need since you are in the gray area

I use trimmer line in all my arrows

That\'s a good Idea.
I\'m just going to be changing arrow make and cx only has 350 and 300 so not sure what would be best to buy. I know Easton makes 330 but cx has always worked really well for me in the past.

Sparky, I tried what Brad recommended and it works just like he said. I would not mess with your arrow spine. If you are getting good flight patterns, leave things alone. A little trimmer line is cheap and easy. You will notice a little rattle of the line inside of the arrow. Ignore it. Your bow will make more noise, so a slight arrow click should not be a factor, when shooting at an animal.

I think finding a stiffer shaft will make your arrow heavier, not lighter.

Me. I am shooting almost your same specs. 66lbs. 28\"DL. I however shoot a 28.5\" arrow to get my broadhead out further from my hand.

I love my arrows.
