i clicked on elk mentors an its says back track outdoors at the top. new sponsor?

At this time, BackTrakOutdoors is sponsoring ElkMentors.

As it has been mentioned, there are some changes coming and in the near future, BackTrakOutdoors will be the new name for the forum.

So what is Backtrak Outdoors? Or better yet, WHO is Backtrak Outdoors? Did you sell ElkMentors? I did a Google search for it and couldn\'t find anything that would even suggest that it is an outdoor site.
 
If you google search CNELK, Swede, and JohnFitzgerald you get pictures of the Three Stooges not BackTrak Outdoors. :wave:

BackTrak Outdoors is a safety net to protect the Stooges from personal liability.

Who owns this forum.....every one who uses it on a daily basis. That will never change!
 
We are planning on bringing on sponsors for the forum. We want to partner with business people to help those we are trying to reach out to. It takes time, effort, and funds to make anything like this run well. We want BTO to be the most relevant and appealing hunting forum available to you, and others hunters. We cannot do all things all at once. It will require patience, but throughout the process, quality will never be compromised. I assume mistakes are inevitable, but we want to recover and correct quickly if and when they occur. We would like to sponsor contests and things that will make the forum more fun and informative.
At this point John, Brad and I have been working and financing this pretty much on our own. We want it to have more to offer than we alone can provide. To date there has been no plans or even discussion of going away from being non profit. It is a labor of love for us, and part of our way of giving back to hunting a part of what we have been blessed with.
We are very pleased and blessed to have here a group of some excellent and skilled hunters. They too are willing to share and give back. To me a part of BAckTrak Outdoors is that giving back and returning some of what we have been blessed with. As newly mentored hunters learn and have success, it is our hope they will stay here, and BackTrak with us in sharing their hunting knowledge and experiences. We have some great and fun personalities helping with the load as we BackTrack together. Other forums have things to offer, but we will be second to none.
 
Currently the platform is based on elk hunting, with archery, ML and rifle the main topics.
There is also a sprinkle of gear, deer, pronghorn and other hunting discussed.

I foresee some cool additions coming to the site, as we all know, the only thing constant is change!

Not sure about John and Brad, but Swede definitely needs a safety net. Guys, this site is run by Moe, Larry, and Swede! Yaw Ha Ha! :haha:
 
I just want to let you guys know you are doing a great job with this sight and I\'m looking forward to the new stuff. :upthumb:
 
I am leaving early in the morning to go scout my hunting area for a week. I know it\'s a tough assignment, but try to maintain order in the asylum.
 
OK, Swede is gone now so if you have any wise cracks to say about him, now is the time to lay it on! :dance2: :haha:
