I currently have a Hoyt Seven and I've taken a few years off Bowhunting in order to teach my son how to hunt with a riffle so we can get a few successes under his belt, now we will start getting ready for the 2017 season. What are the best bows for 2016, best bang for the buck and just plain the best? If it matters we are both over 6'"2 and the kid is 6'5".

Thanks for your help!

I shot and sold Hoyts for 12 years. They are fine bows. About four years ago, I shot my first Elite and I was hooked. My go to bow now is the E35. You might give them a look. Go to a shop or two, shoot several bows and find the one that feels the best to you. Don't let someone bully you into a bow that doesn't fit you or doesn't feel great. The best bow for you is out there, you just have to hunt for it.

I agree 100% with jstephens61....shoot several bows and find the one that feels best to you. I, too, shot Hoyts for 13+ years, and really liked them. However, last year, I decided to take a look at multiple bows and see if there was anything I was missing. After a month of shooting 4 different bows, I couldn't make myself pick up anything other than the Prime Alloy. This year, I picked up the new Prime Rize, and I am loving it as well! I would definitely recommend shooting a Prime as you are making your decision (make sure you shoot one that has a longer axle to axle length as you are over 6' tall).
