Hey guys I'm in the hunt for a new release under $50. My old release is starting to chew up my d-loop. Not sure why? It just startedhappening. I just got a new d-loop put on so it could be that the person used a crappy string. Any suggestions on my problem or a new release?

All d-loops wear out and have to be replaced. Probably not your releases fault.  Now if it cut the d loop that's a different story.

I use 2 Scott Mongoose releases. Always have a spare. You can find them on EBay for under $50 most of the time.

Times 2 on the Scott mongoose. You cant go wrong with a scott. Great customer service too. I had one start getting stiff after a few days hunting in the rain. Sent it to them and they repaired quick. Been shooting it 4 years after repair now with no issues.

I like anything from Tru-fire or Scott-- but right around the $100 range though.  I'm sure there are some good $50 releases out there but I've shot dozens and haven't found one in that price range to my liking..

Not sure if you can still find one, but I think I paid around $50 for a Tru ball short and sweat and it's been great for about 7 years now.
