Bighorn Sheep Scout and HUNT pics

Here are the pics you guys requested from one of the threads in the Elk forum... I spent 4 nights scouting for Bighorn ewes in the Latir wilderness 2 weeks ago. Here are some pics from that amazing trip! Enjoy!

nice pics... thats some tuff country up there with the elevation change. Hunted it for elk 2 yrs ago. It is a beautiful place though.

I agree! I would definitely do a cow elk hunt up there if I didn\'t draw bull and had at least one buddy to help pack out but idk about putting down a bull and trying to pack it out without horses haha.

You should try 13,000 just to say you did it.
I havent done 14k as 13,000 was enough to pack a mtn goat out for a buddy.
Cured me of ever hunting goats

Haha. The first day up there was kinda rough as I adjusted to the altitude. I just made myself drink more water and the next 3 days I felt great! You just can\'t expect to do anything really fast without getting out of breath!

I bet, 10700 was rough. but that was in 2012 and I had just quit smoking in 2011, before my marathons and triathlons... I will do a goat hunt! when I get drawn.... wait, maybe I should start getting points until then, smells like next summers vacation!!!!

A bighorn is on my list. I\'ll have to win the lottery and soon. That country is no place for an old fat guy like me but I sure would like to give it a shot. Those are awesome pics. Good luck! :upthumb:
