Bivy sack

I would look for one that can withstand high winds and are you in the rainy coastal area or tundra?  Are you looking for a combo stove as well?

I sold my Outdoor Research bivy sack in favor of a Big Agnes  Fly Creek UL2 tent.
It weights a little more than the bivy sack but at 2.5 lbs it is not that bad.
The extra weight will pay for itself when you have to stay in the tent during extended periots of rain. Something you won't be able to do in a bivy sack unless you carry a tarp to hang above the bivy. The weight of the tarp and bivy sack will most likely be at or above the weight of the tent. You'll be much more comfortable in the tent. Trust me.

Ghost,

I did exactly the same thing and sold the OR Bivy and got the Big Agnes FLycreek UL2--all for the same reasons.

Fairly good article in the winter edition of Extreme Elk magazine.  Just got my magazine in the mail and am researching the suggested models.

Are you running the bivy alone? If so the Big Agnes 3 wire is pretty nice.
If it were me I would probably couple a Kifaru Supertarp with the TiGoat Bug Net Biv, or maybe even the TiGoat Raven Omni.
