Blacks Creek packs???

Have a Jim Horn fanny pack. Well organized pack. Use it for deer hunting only. The bow carrier is worthless, but most are. Zippers are crap. All that being said, I use it every year for the last 8 or 9 years.

I picked up a Eberlestock Team RMEF pack last fall. It's a little bigger than my X2 and smaller than the J107. It is adjustable and feels good. Great CS, great packs and won't break the bank.

I had a blacks creek Canadian a few years ago that I really liked other than the zippers kept breaking on me. Almost bought one of their new remedy 7 packs but went with a Mystery Ranch Metcalf and have loved it, best pack I've owned!

Just an FYI, Black Ovis sells the  remedy 7 packs with the grip frame.

I wore one around for a while at the western hunt expo and it was nice, the dry weight is what turned me off. The grip frame was nice though.

What pack/packs do you run currently?
I ended up going with a Mystery Ranch Metcalf. I love that I can compress it down for day hunting or load it up for a week in the backcountry, hauls a heavy load comfortably too! The nice frame you can use with other sized bags as well.

Does the nice frame offer the same type of meat hauling capability. I like how the remedy 7 bag detaches so the heavier load can be closer to your body.

i believe the 2nd generation Metcalf has a meet shelf. Mine is a first gen and you can detach the bag to haul meat, but I leave the bottom part of the bag attached to hold the meat from falling through, check out their website.
