Just give it a couple days Scott...you will find your legs!

So....? It\'s been awful quite for a couple days, hope that means you have been busy packing out some meat

no, the personal issues finally caught up to me. had to run back to mo to be with my son for a few days. he needed me. i will be back out next wedn. set up camp thurs, scout for mulies fri then go on my first mulie hunt saturday. i am so hopeful of getting one, but i know its a long shot.

well so far its been a wild year. havnt kept up on the day to day hunt stuff, but a quick overview of the season. in april i was working in durango an got a otc turkey tag for a merriams turkey. on the second day i shot my first merriams. now i have a eastern, rio, an merriams with only a osceola for my grand slam of turkeys left. after a wild an very unpredictable summer an unexpected move back to mo i was back out after mulies an shot my first one, although he was a small one, on opening day. then was off for elk with some buddies from mo. we had some close encounters but never got it done for a variety of reasons. but, i satisfied my curiosity of rather last seasons elk was a fluke or not. i can kill elk, maybe not yearly, but consistently. at least if feel i can.
so after living in co for not quite two years i took a merriams turkey, mulie, elk, geese, an ducks. some species i had never taken before. i feel i accomplished bucket list goals an did it while learning new land, tactics, an species. in short, i am a hunter. my forefathers would be proud. i am proud.
