Hey everyone,
So I just got home 2 days ago from my LDS mission in Ecuador... And about 4 days ago my dad told me that I ended up drawing the Book Cliffs roadless area for archery elk...

Since I just got home, I havent had time to go scouting. I'm planning on heading up there the first day of the season or a few days before to get familiar with the area, but i have heard that this is a 350+ bull area...

Anyone had any experience with this area that you would be willing to share. Just looking for an idea of where to start so Im not going in there blind...
Thanks!

Spend some time on Google Earth or Bing maps to get a feel for the area before you get in there. You can save a tremendous amount of time going this route and having a plan before heading in blind as you mentioned. Hope you stick a bruiser!

Sorry Man.  Live in Northern Utah & I have not hunted Book cliffs at all.  But I have heard there are a lot of Elk & you can find them.  Finding a Large bull 350 would be tough, talking to a friend who hunted it 3 yrs ago.  They found a lot of 300-325 Bulls, but didnt see any larger bulls.
