Bow wax

i do it after season then once while shooting a lot over the summer and my string starts to show like it needs it then i do it before season starts about three times a year. but i have never been told what is the correct way i just notice my string looking a bit dry if thats the right word.

After the season I take some floss and strip all the old wax and dirt off my strings and relax. Then as it needs it through out the season especially if it's rainy it will need it a lot more.

That's exactly what I do, wrap it around and put a little pressure on the string to just kind of scrape the old wax off. You would be surprised how much junk comes off. Don't know if it helps or not but I figure if I can get all the dirty grit out my string might last longer.
