I don\'t have the fastest internet in my neck of the woods. I do most of my internet visiting at work :shh: .I visit here and also a couple other sites every now and then. Well I tried to get on to Bowsite to show a coworker a pic of someones elk. I had a pop-up that said I couldn\'t visit that site. Someone must have put a few select words in there that our IT picked up on. I sure hope it doesn\'t happen here or I will not visit but a couple short times a week at most.

Ha! I get a similar popup window when trying to get on AT. Not that I go there that often, only occasionally checking the Western hunting and health/fitness forum. Error code says something about the site being associated with weapons. Whatever. No problems with other hunting sites.
I get that stuff a lot on my computer. Our IT folks monitor our internet usage. I\'m told any time somebody attempts to access an unauthorized site, they have an alarm and red light that goes off. SO, when I get that message I make sure to hit the site multiple times in a row :lol: Sounds kind of mean but seriously an army computer that bans websites with weapons, speaks volumes about the political landscape of today.
bowhunter, you are not alone on this site, if you are banned from another. We have a bunch of folks here that are \"banned\". When John, Brad and I started managing this site, they determined I had no useful skill, so I was appointed to be the bouncer here. Well kinda the bouncer. I still need their approval, but I can point out the trouble makers on my own. 
Now, you would think with all of the problem kids on here, that I would be busy as a cat covering up, but I have been more bored than the Maytag repairmen.
I am pleased with my job. We have a great group here, and I am looking forward to a lot of fun and shared experiences around the camp fire as we wait for another season to start.
I apologize for not being more engaged here this last few weeks, but I needed to build a new deck on the back of the house before the rainy season got under way. It looks like I got about done in just the nick of time.

Swede, I was not actually banned from Bowsite. I was banned or lets say restricted from entering the sight through a computer at work. It said something about war games. I posted this above. I would not post anything that would get me banned on any site. Well I guess maybe I would because the reason that Paul banned you guys from his site was horse dung. I pm\'d Paul and told him that things were going to change and he would have to work very hard to keep his site from turning into a place for every one to fight and argue like the dark side. I guess he took the easy way out and banned you guys. I like what you guys have done with this site and it is my most visited now. Keep up the good work.
Thanks bowhunter. I understood your situation, but wanted to fit in a statement about ours. Personally I have not been banned from Elknut Forums. I do not plan to do anything there that will provoke Paul. I will let him do his own thing. We are going to do ours, and I hope we do it better.
