Broadhead weight for moose

Hey guys, I'm going to put in for a moose tag this year. When hunting elk I use 125 gr broadheads. Is that good for moose too? Or do I need to use something a little heavier. I would think it is mostly about shot placement. But since this is a once in a lifetime hunt I don't want to lose an animal because my broadhead wasn't heavy enough. I've looked on a couple other forums and they seem to think 125 gr will do the trick. Thanks

If they fly good and hit what you're aiming at, you will be dining on moose. Good luck on the ta,g and on the hunt. Moose is on my bucket list.

I blew through one at 53 yards with a pretty conservative setup: 425 gr arrow at about 280 fps with a 125 grain magnus stinger.

I would agree with the others...broadhead weight probably isn't as critical as overall arrow weight AND bow/arrow tuning. However, weight up front often helps with arrow tuning, so a heavier insert or a 125 grain head will increase your arrow's FOC and improve arrow flight, which in turns, improves penetration. There have been many moose shot with 100 and 125 grain heads....as was said previously, hit the spot and you'll be just fine with your set up!
