With archery seasons rolling around in many different states, I want to get the sign up thread started now.
For the next 30 (Starting July 7th until August 7th) days I will leave this thread open for you to sign up in.
After the 30 days are up, I will have teams of 3, 4, or 5 randomly selected based on how many participates we have and then it\'s game time!
To win the contest it\'s simple, your team must have the most points at the end of the elk season
Points will be awarded by:
- A cow, spike, or calf will be worth 3 points.
- A bull elk will count for as many points the bulls rack has. (For example: a 5x5 would be worth 10 points)
To prevent confusion, according to B&C and P&Y to define a point it must be at least one inch long and longer than it is wide at the base..
You many enter as many elk as you want, but only your biggest elk will count.
Entries may be harvested with any legal weapon. (rifle, ML, Bow, etc)
To submit an entry, you will need to post a photo with either the elk and the hunter or the elk with the weapon
[any legal weapon method] used to harvest it.
*If you do not wish to post a picture of your kill on the internet for unit security reasons or for other similar reasons, you may send a text picture or email a picture to any of the site admin or moderators. They can verify your picture and upload your score*
I do understand how being tight lipped about an area can be, so this will allow you to still keep it a secret and still participate.
SO DONT FORGET YOUR CAMERA THIS YEAR
I will create an entry thread once the teams are built up and we can start coming up with some team names)
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy... I am looking forward to having some fun with you all
:thewave:
(yes there will be a deer one too :upthumb: )
If you would like to play, please say \"in\".
Additionally, if you have a son or daughter that you wish to enter in the contest and would like them to be on your team, please indicate that in your post. We will happily accommodate you to bring in more people
Remember, I am here for you guys!
Also a big congrats again to last years winners!
