i was planning on a elk hunt this year, but i got offered a contract about 15 miles from home. i will get paid almost as much in housing which i wont need as my paycheck each week so i had to sign. but contract runs until 9/23 so will miss elk season. i dont wanna fight the rifle crowds so i guess im missing another year. i think i might treat myself to a quick arkansas bear hunt to help make up for it, and am gonna take some time off in november and december and do some duck hunting which i havnt had time to do much of. so, like everything else in life, its good and bad.
