Calling videos?

The round table thread got me thinking about finding a good video that is more about teaching when too call more than how to call. I don\'t call much where I hunt now. I practice with my calls and sound pretty good but I really have no confidence of when to use them.

The closest instructional media to the truth that I found is produced by Chris Roe.

It\'s still commercialized, but Chris is a biologist and has been studing elk for many years. His experience comes from day to day interaction with elk and not just 10 days out of the year.

I\'d suggest you look back on elk encounters that you\'ve experienced and then try to inject some calling strategies. Post the encounter here and ask for other suggestions. Listening to someone talk about strategy doesn\'t hold a candle to \"your\" real life situations.

Many here will be happy to help.

My 2-cents!

Here ya go! Nothing works every time. But this method has a pretty darn good track record. As a matter of fact, it is so good and so simple that I got booted from another elk hunting site for posting it. :banned:

Of course, there is always more than one way to skin a cat. But learn these three sounds and you\'ll be off to a good start.

Here is a simple but good video that many can learn from.
