i have the CampChef summit 2-burner. i am getting over that stove. i hate carrying it, i hate setting it up. it works okay.
i have a new burner coming..not the typical one we usually see. call it out of the box thinking. i ordered a Wok Burner out of Taiwan. it is apparently on a very slow ship coming over because it is coming sllllooooowwwww.
we typically use my brother's turkey fryer burner for a wok at camp. it is fast and fast. my new burner has a game changer..it has a pilot light!! you light that first- which is much safer, then fire up the jet engine with that!! trust me, cook spagetti at home, warm it up by tossing it in a big wok..you can feed five guys in about 10 minutes. clean up is a breeze.
i am shopping for a good wok now. i bought one, but researching afterwards, it is a bad purchase. total POS, but i only cost me $20. hehe.
a wok does it all. deep fry to steam. there is no faster great dinner than a dozen steamed tamales..after a big all-day hike and glass.
