Today I did a check over on my harness, straps, and my two climbing tree stands.

I always check for cracked or brittle tree straps, torn or ripped harnesses, and I always torque my bolts/screws....

Well look what I found today.

Yup!  I at about four weeks to open lay everything out for my bivy, day hunts, my packs, survival gear, truck gear etc.  I'm OCD about my gear anyways and try and ready myself for the Montana mountains.

Several times have been sketchy getting in and out of the higher elevations. Storms blow in and I'm always prepared, always.  I always keep extra wood, flares, wool blanket, water, cook stove, and enough food for a week, generally freeze dried meals, and essential tools and clothing in case it's a long walk out.  Every year search and rescue always finds/pulls  someone out  stuck in a snow storm or broken down from the mountains.
