Honestly it makes me cringe to see a man up an old dead snag, no harness, no safety line, standing on dead limbs. Limbs, with a person\'s weight on them, can give way with absolutely no warning. Folks, Brad has a lot of good ideas. This is not one of them. Rigging and unrigging a tree stand is dangerous enough. Please never do what you see on display here.

You are a fortunate guy Brad. This weekend I have started building a 26\'x30\' parking garage on to my shop and I feel your pain Terry as I\'ll be mixing and pouring the footers the old fashioned way myself. Last weekend my son and I went to Denver and replaced all the countertops and vanity tops in my daughter and son-in-laws house together with new tile backsplashes. My son\'s company makes custom concrete counter tops. Too heavy for an old guy!

I will second this.... always wear a harness.... I was bowhunting up in Illinois a few years ago and we had hung a stand. The stand and climbing sticks were brand new never used. My buddy dropped me off that afternoon and I started climbing up. Usually I have my linemans belt on while doing this but this time I did not. Got to the top stick and was about to step over on the stand and then it was all slow motion.... The top stick broke at the weld and backwards I went.... 20ft down Luckily I was injured so I always say wear your harness you never know.

Yeah...I\'m packing one this Season. Too many \"near miss\" stories, and some that don\'t end up so well :think:
