clothing for Sept hunt in Co

Being a newbie to elk hunting,or western hunting in general,Im at a loss for clothing selection for the mtns of Co in Sept.What is the temp fluxuation like between night and day?and what type of clothing do yall pack?

I'm not an expert, but I have been to western CO twice in Sept. My experience has been cool nights in the mid to high 20's and daytime highs in the 60-80 range. I would suggest layers. what I wore was a base layer shirt, a mid layer of 1/4 zip t-neck in mid weight. a wind blocker fleece vest a fleece jacket and a waterproof breathable shell that is quiet enough to hunt in if it rains or is cold. I wore a mid-weight layer on the bottom and regular 6-pocket pants. and a pack to carry it all when you don't need it
