Pretty sure I know the answer but can't for the life of me find it in the regs so figured I'd ask.
If I have a rifle tag, can I be in possession of 2 legal means of take(rifle and bow) since both are legal for the tag? I know, I know - nobody is going to carry around both in the mountains and if can't get within bow range put it down and use rifle. Similar I guess to carrying a .30-30 for deep timber then when break out of timber to an open park switch to 7 mm.
However, it's not an unlikely scenario where I hunt in SW CO. It's all tree stands on private land so not unrealistic to be able to carry bothin and if elk go one way it'll be bow but if by chance they head towards the North pasture you'd better get the rifle out. The stand locations provide good views and just depends which trail they take.
I don't think you can but would like to confirm.
